Pilates Mat classes focus on a sequence of traditional and modern Pilates exercises performed on a cushioned mat on the floor so there is no impact, using body weight as resistance. Classes may also include the use of small apparatus such as resistance bands, magic circles, foam rollers, spine corrector, bosu, dura discs, sliding discs, freeform boards, core plus reformer, hand & ankle weights and balls to enhance your workout.
Our Pilates mat classes are both fun and challenging offering you a full body workout designed to improve your muscle strength, posture and flexibility. Classes emphasise the foundational principles of Pilates whilst offering modifications and variations to suit each client’s individual needs.
We pride ourselves on offering small and intimate classes so we can focus on tailoring every class to the individual needs of our clients. Our classes do not exceed 6 people to ensure enough attention is paid to each individual.
Beginner
Entry level class designed for the beginner to learn the fundamental Pilates exercises whilst learning about the muscles of the ‘Powerhouse’, breathing, alignment and technique. Class is taught at a slower pace.
Suitable for clients recovering from injuries as well as pre and postnatal clients.
Intermediate
You will flow through a more challenging series of exercises, using props and creating some cardio elements with minimal rest periods. These classes incorporate functional movement patterns to strengthen, tone and balance your body to improve posture and prevent injury.
Not suitable for clients recovering from significant injuries or pregnancy.
Advanced
This class is designed to challenge the more experienced clients. An intense workout focusing on advanced exercises with fast-paced, continuous and flowing movements to challenge your strength, endurance and fitness level. Prepare to sweat, shake & burn!

Things to bring
Wear gym gear, socks and bring bottled water, a hand towel and a beach towel or Non-Slip Pilates Mat towel to place over our mats for hygienic reasons.
Bookings are essential!
These classes are not drop in classes as they are tailored to the specific needs of those already booked in and often they are booked out well in advance.
