What are the Pilates Mat class general precautions?

Although Pilates is a low-impact form of exercise, certain people should seek medical advice before commencing a mat class, including:

  • people who have recently had surgery
  • pregnant women
  • anyone who has not exercised for a long time
  • people who are very overweight or obese.

If you have a pre-existing medical condition i.e. or musculoskeletal injuries or disorders then unfortunately our mat classes are not for you. You would be better suited to a clinical pilates studio that offers one on one equipment sessions.
